Our services aim to provide support so that each of our users can live
and independent life in the community. We believe that a society in which
those with disabilities and those without can live together in harmony
and help each other is truly rich indeed. Our center was established to
provide services so that this dream might one day become reality.
We provide a garden party on an annual basis for people in the local community. In addition, we hold various events, like Christmans parties, in the belief that such events help to make people happy and define their goals.
During the day, our users carry out subcntracted work, help maintain the environment, work with Japanese Saori textiles, make handicrafts with Japanese paper, and do demolitions work for recycling(demolishing floppy disks and CD roms), SAISD (Supporting Activities for integrated Sensory Development.)
When people are independent, they can understand the meaning of "social
existence", At the Adatara Ikusei Center we support the individual's
abilities with regars to social existance, and apply them to social resources
(as well as make our own resources). We ensure that the users are provided
with a place to live and to carry out activities. for the transition to
living in the local community, and provide services for each user depending
on their individual capability. In order to live independently in the local
community users are taught the skills of decision making, self-determination,
and handling day to day routines.
